Dabeet & Ananya
New Delhi  ·  2025

A smaller wedding that felt bigger than most grand ones. Dabeet and Ananya had the kind of presence together that fills a room even when the room is half empty.

The guest list was deliberately short. Ananya had been clear about that from the very first conversation — she wanted a wedding where she actually knew everyone in the room. Where every face in every photograph was someone she loved. What that decision created was something rare: a wedding with no filler, no background noise, no people going through motions.

Dabeet, we noticed early, is the kind of person who pays attention. He remembered the name of every vendor, greeted every member of our team by name, and spent the morning of the wedding checking in quietly with his parents. Small things. The best kind of things.

"She laughed at something he said right in the middle of the pheras. He didn't stop. Just smiled and kept going. Those are the frames we live for."

The ceremony was at noon — another deliberate choice. The light in the venue at that hour came through tall windows and fell across the mandap at an angle that made everything look like it had been art-directed. It hadn't. Sometimes a couple just knows what they want.

The after-party was small — perhaps forty people on a terrace — and it was the warmest, most genuinely joyful reception we've documented in years. There was a moment, late in the evening, when Dabeet and Ananya stood at the edge of the terrace and just looked at the city together. We didn't interrupt. We just made sure we were there.

Intimate weddings like this one remind us why we do this work. Not for the scale — but for the depth. Dabeet and Ananya had depth in every frame.
